I wrote this poem for someone very special that came into my life for a short while. I will never forget the gift of love he gave me. Hope you will find this to be special to you as well.
There is so much I want to tell you
So much you still don't know
Things that happened along the way
Seeds I began to grow
Deep feelings of pain and resent
That kept me prisoner of pain
Working through the cobwebs
I thought I'd go insane.
I wondered much like you
If only in my mind
Couldn't figure out my place
Fearing what I would find
Much love I had to offer
Only to receive more pain
What was I missing
Traveling down each lane
One day I stopped and turned
And realized in my own wisdom
The love I so often yearned for
Was love I had not given
Give yourself to others
With no expectation
Other than to have respect
Honor and participation
If only a moment we can share
I want to make it real
No games, no gimmicks
Just love I hope you feel
No promise of tomorrow
No pressure for your return
Just the gift you gave me
Is all I ever yearned

Will Be There
This one I wrote for a childhood friend...seems we kept coming in and out of each others lives. We met at age 14, worked in the same building at age 18, were friends again off and on until age 26 we found ourselves pregnant at the same and unemployed. Very pregnant we drove cars in an auction...lots of fun and lots of memories. Found ourselves divorced at the same time and remarried at the same time. Each moved away numerous times and lost touch but somehow we always managed to find each other...the last time had been many years apart and we ended up sitting on the back of 2 different boats on a lake side by side...God does work in mysterious ways. Maybe you have a friend or know someone this reminds you of in your life...Enjoy
Young girls we were but thought we were not
Lipstick and boys were all in our thoughts
Giggles and being silly kept us together then
Not worrying about futures, whys or whens
Parted ways, few years went on by
Young adults learning the whens and whys
Workplace brought us together once again
Another segment of our lives will begin
Parted ways again for only a few years
Then life came at us with new fears
Hearing and seeing life's whens and whys
Watching carefully with our adult eyes
With child in tow and one on the way
We greeted each other with a new day
We shared new dreams, even drove cars
Little did we know about our hidden scars
As children grew and our lives fell apart
We divorced and remarried, tried a new start
As each failed attempt for happiness we found
The other was close by supporting our sound
Time moved on and we moved in and out
Of each others lives, but with very little doubt
The other would be there when the time came
To help each other with their claim to be "sane"
Now gray has appeared and wrinkles are there
Our eyes still twinkle between our blank stares
We still giggle and act silly once in a while
Knowing together we are able to still smile
Life does have its ups and downs so they say
Everyone has them, almost every day
But what most people lack is someone who cares
For us, we know, each will always be there.

When Love Goes Wrong
We die a hundred deaths
When love falls apart
But at the end we see
Rebirth beginning in our hearts
The ebb and flow of each day
Bring us joy and often pain
As dark as our world may be
We come alive when thought insane
Shine brightly stars - gaze down on me
And let each day grow strong
For all I know is God is good
And doesn't count our wrongs
When love falls apart
But at the end we see
Rebirth beginning in our hearts
The ebb and flow of each day
Bring us joy and often pain
As dark as our world may be
We come alive when thought insane
Shine brightly stars - gaze down on me
And let each day grow strong
For all I know is God is good
And doesn't count our wrongs

Beautiful Day
The air is crisp yet still
Birds are having their morning say
Happiness is all around
It's going to be a beautiful day
Sun has not yet warmed the air
Yet brightly it has shown
The day will be glorious again
One you can call your own
Start with gratitude, show your love
Move through your day full of grace
Let the stillness in your mind
Show on your stress free face
Birds are having their morning say
Happiness is all around
It's going to be a beautiful day
Sun has not yet warmed the air
Yet brightly it has shown
The day will be glorious again
One you can call your own
Start with gratitude, show your love
Move through your day full of grace
Let the stillness in your mind
Show on your stress free face
Moving To The Mountains
I'm moving to the mountains
For it is where I belong
I'm going to the mountains
Where I can feel at home
The fresh crisp morning air simply calls my name
Not to go there would be such a shame
I've lived my life for others most of the time
The mountains will fulfill a dream of mine
At night when I am sleeping and dreams run through my head
There's birds singing, leaves rustling and deer nestled in their bed
The window is now open and the breeze is coming through
I feel at home here in the mountains with skies so very blue
For it is where I belong
I'm going to the mountains
Where I can feel at home
The fresh crisp morning air simply calls my name
Not to go there would be such a shame
I've lived my life for others most of the time
The mountains will fulfill a dream of mine
At night when I am sleeping and dreams run through my head
There's birds singing, leaves rustling and deer nestled in their bed
The window is now open and the breeze is coming through
I feel at home here in the mountains with skies so very blue
